In the spring of 2004, we sold the first license for the construction estimating software in Romania, called “Windoc Deviz.” Orders began to flow. We developed our own CRM software and began organizing our business with it.

In 2007, we began developing a Construction Cost Database. We formed hundreds of partnerships with construction research institutes, professional associations, manufacturers, and importers of building materials to provide our users with a complete and accurate database for evaluating construction and installation works.

The business grew, and in 2009, we decided it was better to divide it. We split as best we could and continued on our own paths. That's when I opened Softmagazin, which continued the “Windoc Deviz” project.

In 2010, we started rewriting our estimating software as a web-based program. That's how “Deviz online” was born.

In 2013, we adapted and launched “Windoc Deviz” and “Deviz online” in the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with Softconstruct SRL, our friends from Chisinau.

In 2014, we started partnerships with construction faculties in the country and developed a Construction Estimating course. This course enabled our software to be used to its full potential by users and for didactic purposes in most of the country's construction faculties.

In 2018, we released “Deviz 360.” We created our new Construction Estimating Software from scratch, using the latest technology, making it much faster and easier to use, and integrating it into a multilingual platform that helps our users organize and grow their business.

In 2023, we launched Contractor Estimator, our new-construction estimating app for North America.

In 2025, we began integrating AI agents to assist our users with their estimating work, and we believe that soon most of the work will be done by our AI agents, supervised by estimating specialists.
